I shot an e-mail to Craig Stumph about the springs convention coming up in may. he miraculously fit all the information anyone needs into once sentence!!! and here is it!!

Spence, good to hear from you. We are going to Desert Mountain. May 4th, meet at the Chevron 8:00 AM. See you there!


in small town life, there is only one chevron, and this chevron loves it when all the 4x4 guys line the streets and pump the $1.65 gas so be there!!!

Is this a Desert Mountain trip? Hell yah... that place is unreal. I'm definitely going to try and make that run.

hmmm need a bumper for your XJ huh? just so happens I've got a buddy and his dad that are starting a buisness making some killer bumper (front and rear) for XJ's! ;)

What is this place like, trail wise? Are there a handful of trails that random groups can go run or is this going to be a more organized event with specific trails lead by specific people?

Is anyone still planning on going down to Delta? I'd like to caravan down there with anyone who is going. I will probably have an extra seat or 3 for anyone wanting to ride down.

What is the best way to get to Delta I-15 or the road west of utah lake?
I've only been to Delta once.
Is there a place around town to park tow rig w/trailer?
How long does it take to get to Delta from Taylorsville?

On the U4WDA flyer there is a request that people going pre-register with Daynen Snyder @ 963-1913 or rockhopper91@msn.com it says there is only limited space for the Desert Mountain run and a winch and lockers f&r are required...there are also other runs going on too...here they are

Wild Horse 3+
Sawmill 4
Chainsaw 4+
Desert Mountain 5

...like spence said everyone is meeting at the Cheveron at 8:00

That was me on the side of the road in Eureka with my Jeep jacked up. The 2 bolts holding my front left caliper bracket to the knuckle were gone. :confused: The caliper wedged itself in the wheel and brought me to skidding stop. I rigged it up so I could make it to a dealer in Spanish Fork to get the bolts, then I went home. :(
