Well if your buddy is running a toy minitruck axle they are spring over axle factory. My dads truck is a 93 sas'd with 5" tg springs and 38" ss and wheels awesome, and very stable. You go the same amount of lift on a 95+ Toyota you they are huge! The chassis on the them hang down lower making the body look huge when you sas them. The only Toyotas I have ever seen with a spring under is the older cruisers, and nobody uses those axles to sas a newer Toy.

As for the revolvers I wouldn't ever run them, but TG and Allpro both have a flex joint style shackle rear hanger that does great on and offroad. The are only $79 for TG's and won't unload like a revolver when you have to mash the brakes

please save your self the headache and not run the revolver shackles let alone with a 4 in block.

i had them on my cherokee because i also thought they were sweet till i broke two rear drive lines and my rear pinnion in my dana 44 in half from axle wrap caused by the revolvers. and blocks will make it even worse.

there is a tacoma build going on here on rme that is a good build he is using i think 3in front springs and the thing fits 37 just fine and is pretty big for 35s.

just remember we have frame height laws here and if you look huge you will get nailed.
